Exhibitions Project Manager

Deadline: February 22, 2016 at 17:00
Opportunity type: Permanent, Full-time
Working hours: 36 hours per week
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Location: London – Tate Britain, Millbank
Here at Tate, we’re keen to attract new audiences and strengthen our brand and reputation, particularly in the world beyond North America and Western Europe. In this new role within our National and International Programmes team you will project manage international exhibitions tours, enabling our collections to be seen by a far wider audience.
This is your chance to join a new team, and working closely with the Head of International Collection Exhibitions, you will project manage the delivery of Tate Collection touring exhibitions from concept stage to delivery at partner institutions. This will see you liaising across Collection Care, Tate Enterprises, Curatorial, Design and Legal and with external partners. Focused on the smooth delivery of international exhibition tours, you will manage risk and expectation, delivering projects on time, on budget and to the highest standards.
Strong on logistics and scheduling as well as budget and resource management, you will have a proven track record of project management together with a degree in the history of art or equivalent. An awareness of issues of equality and cultural diversity as they affect the work of a major museum will be essential, as will excellent administration and organisation skills and the ability to lead project teams. Your flair for communication and negotiation will enable you to persuade, influence and build partnerships at all levels and across a complex organisation.
