The Tate Modern Curatorial team’s objective is to achieve the highest standard of content and delivery in its programme – the foundation of which is based on wide international project development and exhibition exchanges and tours. This is an exciting and transforming moment in Tate Modern’s development as we work towards the opening of the new building and new gallery spaces in 2016. The registrar team within the Curatorial Department is responsible for the management and co-ordination of loaned artworks across Tate Modern’s temporary exhibitions, displays, international exhibition tours, live performance and film programme.
You will have strong experience of working on temporary exhibitions, liaising effectively with colleagues and external contacts within a gallery/museum or similar environment. You will have experience of arranging government indemnity and commercial fine art insurance, with demonstrable experience of international fine art transportation, museum standards and experience of negotiating loans and associated contracts.
You will have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, whilst being flexible and providing creative solutions to problems. It is vital you are an impeccable organiser with excellent communication and diplomatic skills needed to carry out difficult loan negotiations.
