The Brussels office serves as a key representative hub, focusing on Old Masters, 19th- and 20th-century paintings, and high-quality art acquisitions and sales.

About the Role

Dorotheum is seeking an Expert in Modern and Contemporary Art to strengthen its network in the Benelux region. The role involves expanding the customer base, acquiring and cataloguing artworks, and collaborating with teams in Brussels and Vienna.

Key Responsibilities

Expand and manage client relationships in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
Acquire, evaluate, and catalogue paintings and objects in collaboration with the Brussels and Vienna teams.
Provide expert knowledge in modern and contemporary art to support sales and acquisitions.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience:
- Degree in art history, preferably specializing in modern and contemporary art.
- Several years of experience in the international art market.
Skills & Competencies:
- Established network in the Benelux region.
- Professional proficiency in Dutch, French, and English.
- Strong customer-oriented mindset, with excellent organization and communication skills.
- Ability to work accurately and discreetly, with a team-oriented approach.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the Benelux region.
