Dorotheum, one of the world’s oldest and largest auction houses, is seeking an expert in Modern and Contemporary Art to join its Brussels office. The successful candidate will work closely with the head of representation in Brussels and the Vienna team to expand the client base across the Benelux region and contribute to the acquisition and cataloguing of artworks for auction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and expand client relations in the Benelux countries
• Evaluate and catalogue works in the modern and contemporary categories
• Collaborate with Dorotheum’s Vienna departments and local representatives
• Support customer service and auction processes

Candidate Profile

• Degree in Art History, ideally focused on Modern and Contemporary Art
• Several years of experience in the international art market
• Established network in the Benelux region
• Fluency in Dutch, French, and English
• Excellent communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Willingness to travel within the region
