Jarmila Vacková Fellowship – Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic

Location: Centre for Early Modern Studies, Department of Art History, Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University, Brno

The Jarmila Vacková Fellowship supports junior scholars (within 10 years of completing their PhD) researching Central European art and visual culture from 1400 to 1900. Topics may include both traditional areas and new approaches such as global perspectives, eco-art history, or post-colonial discourse.

Fellowship Benefits

Key Expectations

  • Residency in Brno between September 15, 2025, and March 15, 2026
  • Active participation in departmental academic life
  • Public lecture on a topic of the Fellow’s choice
  • Publication of a research paper in Opuscula Historiae Artium within one year
