The Sigg Fellowship for Chinese Art Research provides a unique opportunity for scholars and researchers to engage with the M+ Collections in Hong Kong, focusing on expanding contemporary discourse on Chinese art. The fellowship supports new research projects or the expansion of existing research that has not been published previously.
Fellowship Overview:
- Grant: HKD 200,000 to cover travel, living, insurance, and research-related expenses.
- Duration: 3 to 6 months, based at M+.
- Deliverables:
- Access to M+ Collections for onsite and online research.
- Internal presentations and discussions with M+ staff.
- A public lecture in Hong Kong.
- A published essay (7,500 characters in Chinese or 5,000 words in English) on M+ Magazine.
Eligibility:
- Open to individuals or research groups of any nationality, with no age limit.
- Applicants must have:
- A postgraduate degree or a minimum of three years of relevant work/research experience.
- Proficiency in spoken and written Chinese or English.
- The research proposal should focus on new or expanded research not previously published.
