Fellowship Program Details
The Fellowship Program for Art and Theory encourages applications from visual and media artists, art critics, theorists, and curators. This initiative aims to foster internationally relevant artistic production, research, and discussion within the Tyrol region, emphasizing the creation of a productive context for exchange and reflection on global and local art discourses.
Fellowship Offerings
Selected fellows receive a stipend of EUR 4,000, accommodation in an individual studio, a production budget, and opportunities for professional exchange. The program includes free access to workspace, multimedia production equipment, and professional advice, culminating in a group exhibition.
Eligibility and Requirements
Professionals worldwide in visual/media arts, art theory, criticism, and curation are eligible. Applicants must propose a concrete project to work on during their stay, accompanied by up to three public events. English proficiency is required.
Selection Process
A jury of experts selects fellows based on the quality, originality, and relevance of their proposals. The selection involves a shortlisting and interview stage, with final decisions communicated in spring 2024.
