Program Overview
The Käte Hamburger Centre CURE invites scholars in cultural studies and the humanities to apply for its fellowship program. Up to twelve fellows are selected each academic year to conduct independent research relevant to the centre’s focus on cultural practices of reparation. Research should align with the centre’s three thematic fields—‘history,’ ‘experience,’ and ‘nature’—and for the 2025-2026 academic year, the theme “Society.”
The centre aims to establish a transmedial theory of cultural reparation by examining cultural reparation processes, memory cultures, and socio-political discourses surrounding harm, humiliation, and ecological issues.
