The Kulturstiftung Schloss Wiepersdorf invites applications for its 2027 residency fellowships at Schloss Wiepersdorf in the state of Brandenburg. The programme supports artists, writers, composers, and researchers working across literature, fine arts, music, and humanities-related research.
Residencies offer fellows time and space to focus on artistic or academic projects in a historic cultural environment associated with German Romanticism. Both individual and collaborative fellowships are available, enabling participants to develop projects either independently or in partnership with one or two collaborators.

Collaborative fellowships provide two rooms: one for the main fellow and an additional room for collaborators participating in the project during the residency.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be artists, writers, composers, or researchers working in one of the following areas:

Literature (poetry, prose, drama, essay, screenplay, criticism, translation)

Humanities and social sciences with themes related to Romanticism

Humanities and social sciences focusing on the history of divided Germany

Fine arts (painting, graphic arts, sculpture, media art, photography)

Composition and sound practices (including sound installation and performance)
Applicants should:

Have completed an artistic or academic degree, be working on a doctorate, or demonstrate significant professional practice or publications

Provide work samples demonstrating their practice

Have German or English language proficiency (basic German is helpful)
Ineligibility
The following applicants are not eligible:

Undergraduate students (except doctoral, postdoctoral, or master-class students)

Individuals who received a Schloss Wiepersdorf fellowship within the previous two years

Members of the fellowship jury
