One of the leading art spaces in the UK, Barbican Art Gallery, is dedicated to the presentation of thoughtful and curatorially ambitious exhibitions covering modern and contemporary art, design, architecture and photography. The Curve space is devoted to the commissioning of installations by international contemporary artists.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated Front of House Manager to oversee the smooth and efficient Front of House operation at the Barbican Art Gallery.
Reporting to the Gallery Manager, the FOH Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the highest standards of service are offered to all gallery visitors and stakeholders, ensuring that they have a safe and enjoyable experience.
You’ll have experience and knowledge of managing a team and working with the public in a similar environment is essential. The successful candidate should also be appropriately trained/qualified in security and risk management and will hold a valid qualification in First Aid, Health & Safety or Fire Safety. You will be knowledgeable around access issues, be computer literate, including experience of using databases, and will have excellent organisational and communication skills. An arts related qualification is desirable as is a keen interest in the visual arts and arts institutions.
