YoonSun Gallery is seeking two Gallerists (Curators) to support its exhibition programme, gallery operations and engagement with artists and audiences in Daegu, South Korea.

Located near Suseongmot Lake, YoonSun Gallery is a contemporary art space that opened in 2020. The gallery organises exhibitions and gallery education programmes introducing contemporary art to the public. Following its expansion into domestic and international art fairs in 2024, the gallery is recruiting additional staff to support its growing activities.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidates will support gallery operations, including:

• Planning and assisting with exhibitions and educational programmes.
• Managing artworks, collections and gallery sales.
• Supporting participation in domestic and international art fairs.
• Assisting with general gallery administration and daily operations.

Requirements

Applicants should have:

• A university degree of at least four years’ duration.
• An interest in contemporary art and gallery operations.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Previous experience in a relevant field, such as an art museum, gallery, auction house or art fair, is preferred.

Additional desirable qualifications include proficiency in English, experience with document editing and design software such as Photoshop and Illustrator, and a driving licence.

Working Conditions

The positions are based at YoonSun Gallery in Daegu’s Suseong District, with working hours from Wednesday to Sunday, 10:30–19:30.

Salary will be negotiated according to experience. The gallery offers either permanent employment or a fixed-term contract.
