Cadogan Gallery are a London based contemporary art gallery in the process of launching a new space in Milan, Italy. We are looking for a new member of staff to start working in Milan full-time from January 2023.

Tasks:

  • managing the day to day organisation of the gallery in Milan
  • assisting the director with liaising with clients and artists
  • assisting the director in organising exhibitions and promoting them
  • writing/translating exhibition texts and designing invitations
  • liaising with PR and trade contacts
  • organising shipping to clients and from/to artists and the London gallery
  • ensuring the gallery space is kept to a high standard

Ideal candidate:

  • 2+ years experience in the art world
  • versatile and well organised
  • good at communicating with a variety of trade contacts and international collectors
  • a proactive personality, as this is a new space and location, and opportunities will need to be created
  • we use Artlogic for our stock and website, so experience with it would be a plus, but not a requirement.

Requirements:

  •  fluent in English and Italian
  •  at least a couple of years experience in the art world, even at a junior or internship level
  •  right to reside and work in Italy

There is scope for the candidate to built a network of collectors and other contacts, and to progress within the structure of the gallery, as it is a new project and will present many opportunities.

We will be selecting the candidate based on many different criteria and are open to employing someone at entry-level, just as we would be open to finding someone with more experience who would be able to assume a stronger role more immediately.
