Role Overview

The Gallery Assistant will support day-to-day operations at the Singapore studio, reporting to the Associate Director. Responsibilities blend art handling, logistics, and administrative tasks, ensuring seamless gallery operations and exceptional presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Studio & Stockroom Management: Maintain artwork inventory, condition reports, and storage systems.
  • Exhibition & Art Fair Support: Assist with installations, crating, shipping, and liaising with artists/freight partners.
  • Administration: Process consignment/loan agreements, shipping documents, and database updates.
  • Event Coordination: Represent the gallery at evening events and fairs.

Essential Requirements

  • 3+ years in a gallery/museum role with art handling expertise.
  • Proficiency in collection management software and logistics (shipping, framing, installation).
  • Physical ability to lift/carry artworks and equipment.
  • Organizational prowess – detail-oriented under pressure.
  • Driver’s license (for local artwork transport).
  • Based in Singapore with flexibility for event hours.
