Connaught Brown is looking for a Gallery Assistant to join the team in our Mayfair gallery. The successful candidate will support the gallery directors, provide administrative assistance and take a leading role in the management of the social media, online sales and upkeep of the website.

The ideal candidate will have good communication skills and experience with press and PR. Design skills would also be beneficial. The role will be within a small team in a fast paced environment so the candidate must be proactive, pragmatic and adaptable. The role will be full time, however part-time would also be considered.

About the gallery

Founded in 1985, Connaught Brown is one of Britain’s leading fine art galleries, located just off Piccadilly, in the heart of London’ s West End. The gallery specialises in paintings and drawings by the French Impressionists, Post- Impressionists and Modern Masters. It also represents the work of a number of leading Contemporary artists.

Connaught Brown holds art works by numerous important artists from the 19th and 20th centuries, including Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Camille Pissarro, Raoul Dufy, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Henry Moore and Marc Chagall. The gallery is also known for introducing Contemporary painting and sculpture from international and UK based artists, including Shani Rhys James, Paul Richards, Simon Edmondson and the Estate of Boaz Vaadia.

Led by the Director, Anthony Brown, the gallery is highly respected for its knowledge of and specialization in these fields. For more than 35 years, it has organized exciting exhibitions, many of which have been seminal in their re-evaluation of the art historical importance of certain artists and movements. Since the gallery is constantly buying and selling, it has a large and continuously changing collection of art works available for sale.
