Join our dynamic team as a Gallery/Curatorial Assistant for a maternity cover position. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced gallery environment while contributing to exhibition planning and curatorial practices.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist visitors, providing insights into exhibitions and artists.
Handle artworks with care, ensuring proper display and security.
Assist with exhibition planning and execution, including logistics, installation, and takedown.
Contribute to curatorial research and the preparation of exhibition materials.
Maintain and update the artwork inventory and related documentation.
Help coordinate events such as exhibition openings and artist talks.
Monitor visitor flow and ensure adherence to gallery policies.
Collaborate with artists, curators, and vendors as required.

Requirements

Passion for art, exhibitions, and curatorial practices.
Strong research, organizational, and communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Previous experience in a gallery, museum, or curatorial role is a plus.
