Consonni Radziszewski is a contemporary art gallery founded through the merger of Madragoa (Lisbon) and Galeria Dawid Radziszewski (Warsaw). Built on a long-standing collaboration between both galleries, the organisation operates across Lisbon, Warsaw, and Milan, focusing on the support of emerging artists alongside the consolidation of established practices.
The gallery plays an active role in contemporary art discourse in Portugal and Poland, promoting artists internationally while introducing global perspectives to its local contexts. Through exhibitions, publications, art fairs, and institutional collaborations, Consonni Radziszewski develops long-term relationships between artists, collectors, institutions, and audiences across Europe.
The organisation operates as a transnational platform for cultural exchange and artistic production, with a focus on sustained collaboration, exhibition-making, and professional development within the contemporary art field.
The gallery is seeking to appoint a full-time Gallery Director and a full-time Gallery Assistant based in Milan.
Gallery Director
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the gallery
- Lead and coordinate gallery staff
- Maintain and develop relationships with clients and collectors
- Manage exhibition logistics, including installation, de-installation, shipping, loans, and scheduling
- Oversee operational planning and budget management
Requirements
- Previous experience in a commercial contemporary art gallery (mandatory)
- Experience in sales and client relationship management
- Fluency in English and Italian (written and spoken)
- Strong organisational and team management skills
Gallery Assistant
Responsibilities
- Support the daily operations of the gallery
- Assist with exhibition logistics, including installation, de-installation, shipping, and scheduling
- Welcome and engage with visitors and clients
- Support administrative and organisational tasks
- Maintain gallery records and inventory systems
- Update artist portfolios and gallery materials
- Support the preparation and publication of social media content
Requirements
- Previous experience in a gallery or art-related environment is preferred but not mandatory
- Fluency in English and Italian (written and spoken)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
