Rele Gallery is Seeking a Gallery Manager

Rele Gallery is a contemporary art gallery with spaces in Lagos, Los Angeles, and London. The gallery represents and exhibits emerging and established artists from Africa and the diaspora, with a mission to expand global appreciation of African art and make it accessible to diverse audiences.

The Gallery Manager will oversee daily operations at the Los Angeles location, supporting exhibitions, events, artist relations, and commercial activities. This is a temporary, on-site position.

Position Details

Contract: Temporary
Location: On-site (Los Angeles, CA)
Work authorization for the United States required
Bachelor’s degree required

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day gallery operations
Organise and curate exhibitions
Coordinate gallery events and public programming
Liaise with artists, collectors, clients, and vendors
Support marketing and promotional activities to increase engagement and sales

Profile

Applicants should have:

Experience in gallery management, exhibition curation, and event coordination
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of art history and contemporary art, particularly artists from Africa and the diaspora
A Bachelor’s degree in Art History, Fine Arts, Arts Management, or a related field
Proficiency in MS Office and/or Google Office
Valid work authorization in the United States
