Location: Hong Kong
Contract: Fixed-term until April 2025, with potential for permanent transition

Art Basel, the world’s premier art show for modern and contemporary works, is looking for a Gallery & Project Manager to lead the newly launched Awards Program and support Gallery Relations. This role is ideal for a highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual with a passion for art and experience in managing large-scale events, exhibitions, or gallery projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Awards Program Management:

  • Oversee the newly launched Awards Program from inception to completion.
  • Handle all aspects of the program, including jury liaison, application management, organizing selection meetings, and the award ceremony.
  • Ensure high-quality communication with media, jury members, applicants, and awardees.

Gallery Relations:

  • Support the Gallery Relations Team by managing exhibitor participation, booth design, and logistics.
  • Facilitate communication with galleries, manage pre-show preparations, and coordinate booth layouts.
  • Act as an on-site liaison during events, providing exhibitors with guidance on booth presentation and logistics.

General Duties:

  • Lead project management tasks, ensuring timely execution.
  • Assist with budgeting, revenue forecasting, and financial reporting for events.
  • Collaborate with teams across Hong Kong, Europe, and the U.S. to improve systems and streamline processes for other Art Basel shows.
  • Provide regular updates to Regional Heads and Directors and assist with improving services for exhibitors.

Your Profile:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in event management, exhibitions, or gallery projects.
  • Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with experience managing award programs (a plus).
