The Henry Moore Grants support the growth and development of sculpture across historical, modern, and contemporary contexts, funding research and public engagement that expands the appreciation of sculpture. Grants are available for UK and international non-profit organisations, as well as individual sculpture historians, academics, and conservators (for Research and Travel).
Eligibility Criteria
- Non-profit organisations for exhibitions, catalogues, commissions, conferences, publications, acquisitions, conservation, cataloguing, and display.
- Individuals (historians, academics, conservators) for research and travel related to sculpture history, conservation, production, or interpretation.
- Individuals cannot apply for funding to develop their own artistic practice.
- Community projects only eligible if submitted by non-profit arts organisations.
Grant Categories & Maximum Funding
- New Projects and Commissions: Exhibitions, catalogues, sculpture commissions. Up to £20,000.
- Acquisitions and Collections: Acquisitions, conservation, cataloguing, display. Up to £20,000.
- Conferences, Lectures and Publications: Events or publications related to sculpture (excluding exhibition catalogues). Up to £5,000.
- Long-Term Research: Multi-year projects, e.g., permanent collection catalogues. Up to £20,000.
- Research and Travel (Individuals only): Costs for research, travel, photography, archival access. Up to £2,500.
