- SALARY £38,000 PRO RATA PER ANNUM
NAE is the biggest gallery in the UK dedicated to artists and communities from the Global Ethnic Majority. We are a contemporary Art Gallery in the Heart of Hyson Green, a community just outside the city centre which is culturally rich and vibrant. We deliver a variety of exhibitions, artist residencies, public events, workshops, performances, festivals, neighbourhood programmes and initiatives for young people.
We have an exciting maternity cover position that will be responsible for overseeing NAE’s curatorial programme. The key areas include delivering inclusive exhibitions and residency programmes, as well as the first iteration of NAE’s Creative Hub. The right candidate will be a champion of NAE’s mission around diversity and of the organisation’s ambition to develop and implement its renewed citizen-led curatorial approach.
This is a senior role. The right candidate will be an experienced Senior Curator with at least five years of experience in demonstrable Exhibitions Programming, while working with artists, creatives, freelancers and within wider teams, delivering on-time and within budget. This is an exciting time to join NAE as the gallery is moving through a period of change with ambitious plans for growth and expansion.
We particularly welcome applications from underrepresented groups in the creative sector, in particular those from the following: global ethnic majority, disabled, LGBTQIA+ and those facing social barriers to accessing the arts.
