Responsibilities
- Lead the gallery’s exhibition and collection programs
- Manage the Collections Care and Access Team (CCAT) and Curatorial Team
- Use art as a tool for understanding the world and engaging diverse communities
- Ensure that the gallery’s activities reflect contemporary debates and diverse perspectives
- Manage budgets and project delivery
- Act as a member of the Senior Leadership team and contribute to gallery management
- Play a key role in the Joint Leadership Team across Whitworth, Manchester Museum, and Manchester Art Gallery
Requirements
- Extensive curatorial, research, and management experience
- Deep understanding of art museums and galleries’ engagement with societal values
- Proven track record in leading teams or projects in art museums or galleries
