The British Museum seeks a Head of Exhibitions Project Management to lead the delivery of its charging and non-charging temporary exhibitions. This senior role requires strategic oversight of exhibition project management processes—covering budget, scheduling, risk, quality, and stakeholder coordination. The successful candidate will manage a team of project managers and ensure the delivery of high-quality exhibitions aligned with the Museum’s vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee successful execution of the exhibition programme and supervise the exhibitions project team.
- Develop and apply effective project methodologies and reporting systems.
- Ensure robust administration across content development, loans, design, and installation.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to align exhibitions with broader institutional goals.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in a relevant field.
- Strong track record managing complex exhibition projects with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Skilled in team leadership, budget oversight, and risk mitigation.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to foster collaboration, deliver under pressure, and drive programme success.
