Overview
Join a dynamic Senior Leadership Team as the Head of People and Culture. This stand-alone HR role, created earlier this year, plays a crucial part in managing the People (HR) function. The successful candidate will support the team and the organization through a significant period of change.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Management: Develop and deliver a people strategy that aligns with the organization’s vision, values, and goals. Lead on learning and development strategies to support staff training and development.
- Financial Management: Manage staffing budgets and workforce planning. Ensure salaries align with the organization’s remuneration policy.
- Management: Lead the people function including recruitment, learning and development, and employee engagement. Develop equity, diversity, and inclusion plans in collaboration with the senior management team.
- Administration: Update people policies and documentation to comply with current employment law. Provide guidance on all people matters.
- Culture: Drive cultural change and engagement initiatives. Lead staff communication and team-building initiatives.
- Governance: Coach management on people processes and employment legislation. Oversee organizational values implementation.
- People Management: Be an exemplary member of the senior leadership team. Lead and develop the team to deliver high-quality work.
Candidate Profile
- Significant HR/People generalist experience.
- Strong background in transformational change and building work culture.
- Strategy and policy development skills.
- Ability to work at a senior level independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
