Career Opportunity: Head of Programme Realisation/Exhibitions

Haus der Kunst seeks a full-time Head of Programme Realisation/Exhibitions to oversee program and exhibition production. Candidates should possess deep knowledge of production processes and uphold the quality standards of a top international art institution.

Responsibilities

Manage budgets and schedule the institution’s entire program.
Oversee all project phases from pre-planning to post-production, including liaising with artists and managing loans.
Plan and implement artistic projects in coordination with artistic management.
Monitor production and conduct risk assessments for various projects.
Organize workflows and manage personnel within the department.
Engage with various art materials and media technologies, ensuring their upkeep.
Collaborate with teams to align with institutional goals.
Handle tenders and contract negotiations with artists or partners.
Maintain health and safety standards in exhibition areas.

Requirements

A university degree in interior design, scenography, architecture, or equivalent.
Extensive experience in managing large events and exhibitions.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Expertise in managing comprehensive project budgets.
Knowledge of artistic quality standards, safety regulations, and German procurement law.
Fluent in German and English.
