Career Opportunity: Head of Programme Realisation/Exhibitions
Haus der Kunst seeks a full-time Head of Programme Realisation/Exhibitions to oversee program and exhibition production. Candidates should possess deep knowledge of production processes and uphold the quality standards of a top international art institution.
Responsibilities
- Manage budgets and schedule the institution’s entire program.
- Oversee all project phases from pre-planning to post-production, including liaising with artists and managing loans.
- Plan and implement artistic projects in coordination with artistic management.
- Monitor production and conduct risk assessments for various projects.
- Organize workflows and manage personnel within the department.
- Engage with various art materials and media technologies, ensuring their upkeep.
- Collaborate with teams to align with institutional goals.
- Handle tenders and contract negotiations with artists or partners.
- Maintain health and safety standards in exhibition areas.
Requirements
- A university degree in interior design, scenography, architecture, or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in managing large events and exhibitions.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Expertise in managing comprehensive project budgets.
- Knowledge of artistic quality standards, safety regulations, and German procurement law.
- Fluent in German and English.
