
Head of publishing house
It is a special feature of the Vitra Design Museum that it runs its own publishing house. This includes Exhibition catalogs and others Publications also selected print products such as posters, merchandising etc. As a management team, they are responsible for a team of two employees who cover the areas of publication management, online shop, sales and sales support. They are responsible for the overall further development of the department and are members of the Extended Museum Management.
What to expect
- Definition of the strategic direction of the publishing house together with the museum management
- Optimization of existing sales structures and further development of the marketing strategy and its implementation
- Launch of sales projects and promotional activities, which contribute to the financing of the Vitra Design Museum
- Analysis of key figures and derivation of measures
- Budget planning and responsibility of the department
- Expansion and maintenance of the network of sales representatives and international partners
What you can offer
- Completed studies in marketing, management, humanities or a comparable area
- Ideally professional experience in the publishing industry in a managerial role
- Knowledge of the international book market as well as the design and architecture scene
- pronounced communication skills and reliable negotiations in German and English
