The Museu Picasso de Barcelona, a key institution for art and cultural heritage in the city, is seeking a Head of Registration Department. This role is integral to managing, coordinating, and organizing the movements, loans, transports, and insurance of the museum’s artworks, as well as maintaining the registration and documentation of the collection. You will work to ensure that all pieces in the museum’s collection are accurately recorded and that their documentation is maintained to the highest professional standards.
Responsibilities

Collection Management:
- Oversee and organize the movement, loan, transport, and insurance processes for the museum’s artworks.
- Manage the registration and comprehensive documentation of the museum’s collection.

Documentation and Coordination:
- Collaborate in documenting the artworks that are part of the collection.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination with internal departments and external partners regarding the handling of artworks.
Requirements

Nationality:
- Must be a citizen of Spain, a member of another EU State, or a citizen of a state with which the EU has an agreement for free movement of workers.
- Spouses and descendants of eligible citizens are also eligible, subject to specific conditions regarding dependency and legal separation.

Age and Functional Capacity:
- Must be at least 16 years old and not exceed the ordinary retirement age.
- Possess the functional capacity necessary to perform the job tasks.

Background and Integrity:
- Must not have been dismissed from any public service or disqualified for public office due to disciplinary or legal reasons.
- Foreign candidates must provide a sworn statement confirming no disciplinary or criminal impediments in their country of origin.

Qualifications:
- Must hold a degree in Information and Documentation or a related field, or be in a position to obtain the corresponding accreditation by the application deadline.

Language Requirements:
- Proficient in Catalan: Applicants must provide evidence of language proficiency (C1 or higher) via an official certificate or by passing a mandatory language test.
- Proficient in Spanish: Non-Spanish nationals must provide appropriate certification demonstrating completion of primary, secondary, and baccalaureate education in Spain, or equivalent proof.
- Proficient in English: All applicants must also demonstrate a B2 level or higher in English, certified as per the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), or pass a mandatory language test.
