Head of Visual Arts and Gallery Management – Bezirksamt Tempelhof-Schöneberg, Berlin, Germany

Salary: Pay grade E13 TV-L

The role involves leading the municipal galleries in Tempelhof-Schöneberg, including Haus am Kleistpark and the Galerie im Tempelhof Museum. Responsibilities include gallery management, curatorial programming, cultural development, and interdepartmental coordination. The position also includes serving as deputy director of the department of arts, culture, and museums. A strong focus is placed on contemporary art, particularly artistic photography.

Requirements:

Master’s degree in art history, cultural studies, or arts management + 2 years of gallery leadership experience
OR
At least 4 years of leadership experience in professional art and gallery projects
Proof of qualifications for international applicants (via anabin or ZAB)
