Service Description Position: Curator for an Exhibition on African Feminist Perspectives
Duration: January 15, 2024 – December 15, 2024
Responsibilities
- Develop a compelling curatorial concept for a digital exhibition showcasing artworks by female artists from Africa and the African diaspora, focusing on African feminisms and diverse perspectives.
- Curate the digital exhibition, either remotely or from one of our offices.
- Collaborate with the HoAF project team to create a communication plan.
- Liaise with artists, commission new works, and select existing artworks.
- Write exhibition texts and related materials.
- Work closely with the social media team and project members to devise a communications strategy.
- Provide regular progress reports and monitor the exhibition budget.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in project management and budget monitoring.
- Experience in planning and curating exhibitions.
- Expertise in African Feminisms discourse and feminist arts.
