Immaterial Future Innovation Award
Immaterial Future, a Vienna-based non-profit association, is established in 2021 to shift our world’s growth model towards intangible production and consumption, with culture as main vector of change. It aims to leverage culture’s huge untapped potential to positively impact every single human, breaking away from its elitist confines and becoming more accessible to all.
The Immaterial Future Innovation Award invites technological start-ups and projects from anywhere in the world to apply with initiatives that leverage technology to address, directly or indirectly, at least one of the following challenges:
- Develop new business models that give culture financial independence.
- Develop distribution models that allow wide access to cultural experiences while upholding the authenticity of these experiences.
- Open call invites proposals from technological start-ups, profit or non-profit organisations or academic world.
Six selected finalists will be invited to the Immaterial Future Forum in Vienna in September 2021 to showcase their projects to potential partners and investors with a specific interest in culture and technology. The association will cover travel and accommodation (one representative for each finalist). One project will then be selected for the Award and a prize of 50,000 euros.
