INTERNATIONAL ARTS RESEARCH RESIDENCY
Ongoing
Overview
L’AiR Arts supports intercultural artistic exchange through international arts residency programs. The aim is to promote diversity, inclusion, and international understanding through artistic and cultural heritage.
Historical and Cultural Context
The residency program is based in Montparnasse, a historic hub for international artists in the early 20th century. This location grounds the program’s contemporary arts commitment within a historical perspective, mirroring the legacy of the École de Paris. Residents explore Paris, stay comfortably, and gain an insider’s view of the role international artists have played in the city from the late 19th century to today.
Program Pillars
The L’AiR Arts residency program is supported by four main pillars:
- Intercultural exchange
- Research
- Professional development
- Contemporary creation
Residency Purpose
The multidisciplinary residency programs aim to foster cross-cultural exchanges and collaborations between international artists and cultural professionals within the local art ecosystem. Participants build lasting connections with fellow residents, expand their networks, and present their work to the public.
Program Opportunities
L’AiR Arts offers an experimental multidisciplinary platform for self-directed projects alongside curated group programs. There are also arts residencies for local professionals, partner programs, and events open to a broader community.
Note
Program placement is currently limited due to the rehabilitation project of the residency at the historic Atelier 11.
