Brooks International Fellowship Programme 2027 at Tate and Delfina Foundation

Tate and Delfina Foundation invite applications for two Brooks International Fellowships in 2027. Fellows will work with Tate colleagues for six months and participate in Delfina Foundation’s residency programme.

Leonora Carrington: Art and the Theatre of Life

The fellow will explore Leonora Carrington’s interest in theatre, performance and performativity. Their research will examine archives, manuscripts, correspondence, photographs and other material, placing Carrington’s theatrical work within her wider career. Knowledge of Mexican culture and performance histories in the second half of the twentieth century will be particularly valuable.

Artist Supported Studios

The fellow will contribute research to the 2028 Tate Britain Commission through the work of artists in supported studios. The project examines collaboration between galleries, artists and studios that support disabled and neurodivergent practitioners, including how commissioned work can be documented and interpreted while respecting artists’ agency.

Fellowship Support

Fellows will live at Delfina Foundation and work primarily at Tate Britain. Support includes a private bedroom, a return economy flight, UK airport transfers, visa fee reimbursement where required, a London travel pass and a £40 daily living allowance. Fellows will have access to Tate’s collections, archives, staff and professional networks.
