Architecture Triennial is looking for interns to provide support on the upcoming second edition of the Triennial ‘The Beauty of Impermanence: An Architecture of Adaptability’ opening in November 2023, and one of our core institutional programmes, ‘The SAT Research Initiative’.
We invite fresh graduates from the following disciplines in the UAE to apply: Architecture, Art, Design, Visual Communication and Design Management.
Start date: Immediate
Duration: 6 months
Deadline to apply: 2 July
All Sharjah Architecture Triennial interns will receive a stipend.
Responsibilities:
– Assist the production team with planning, and coordination of the upcoming edition
– Develop production drawings for fabrication
– Coordinate with fabricators and suppliers
– Find materials and fabricators relevant to the edition’s artworks
– Assist in coordination with participating architects, designers, and exhibitors
– Assist in the installation and setup of exhibits

Qualification requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in architecture, design, or a related field
– Graduated within the past year
– Available for a 6 month internship starting July 2023
– Holds a valid UAE residency for the duration of the internship
– Proficient in 2D and 3D software such as CAD, Rhino and Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, inDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop), Google Work Suite (Google Drive, Sheets, Docs)
2. SAT02 CURATORIAL INTERN
Responsibilities:
– Assist the curatorial team with planning and coordination of the public programme of the upcoming edition
– Coordinate with travel team and event management team (especially during the SAT02 opening week)
– Assist with planning and execution of guided tours of the various venues and artworks during the triennial
– Maintain records and files related to curatorial aspects of the triennial
– Undertake other assignments as designated by SAT Curatorial Coordinator

– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in architecture, design, or a related field
– Graduated within the past year
– Available for a 6 month internship starting July 2023

3. SAT RESEARCH INITIATIVE INTERN
Responsibilities:
– Organization and archiving of in-house research material and programme content
– Conduct project related community surveys
– Assist the SAT Research Initiative team in organizing and executing online programmes
– Assist in the preparation of online content for the webpage and social media. Tasks will include video editing, layouts and copywriting
– Assist in publishing tasks including collating of information and liaising with publisher, printing houses and graphic designers
– Assist the Research Curator in coordination and production of programme-related events, publication and programming

Qualification requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in architecture and urbanism, design, social sciences or a related field
– Graduated within the past year
– Available for a 6 month internship starting July 2023
– Holds a valid UAE residency for the duration of the internship
– Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, inDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop), Google Work Suite (Google Drive, Sheets, Docs), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Video editing (Final Cut/Adobe Premier/iMovie)
