Every year, at the beginning of autumn, the Netherlands Film Festival ( NFF ) takes place. A week and a half Utrecht is the film capital of the Netherlands, where the latest feature films, documentaries, series, animations, short films, VR productions and numerous events can be experienced for young and old.

As a Trainee ( e ) you support in setting up and implementing the programming, the various events, the marketing and communication, receiving important guests or the production of the festival. We are looking for initiative-rich, accurate and stress-resistant team players for all departments.

Trainee ( e ) s

3 to 5 days a week

Education
Starting month: June 2023.
Size: 0.8 FTE ( 4 days per week ) in the period from June to mid-August; 1 FTE ( Full-time ) in the period from mid-August to September; 0.6 FTE ( 3 days a week ) until mid-October.
Duration: minimum 4 months ( until mid-October 2023 ).

As an Intern ( e ) Education you work in the Program department and you support the Education employee in the organization and administration of the education program. You are also closely involved in school recruitment and carrying out various activities with different groups of students.

The NFF education program introduces thousands of students and students to the best home-grown audiovisual offer every year: from large commercial feature films to artistic films and from documentaries to series and VR installations. During the festival there are educational screenings for all ages and levels of education, workshops and film lectures. All programs develop teaching materials that are appropriate for the target group. This way, as many students as possible are introduced to film education.

Development
Starting month: June 2023.
Size: 0.8 FTE ( 4 days per week ).
Duration: 5 months ( until October 2023 ).

As a Trainee ( e ) Development you are involved in the implementation of the partner agreements, you think about concept development for partners and you do research, assist in the implementation of activation plans and support you in organizing business events.

Development is the department within NFF that deals with partnerships, fundraising, relationship management and concept development. NFF cannot exist thanks in part to the support of a large number of partners. These partners each receive their unique counterparts. As an intern development you organize and support in the performance of the counterparts, think of; business dinners, film screenings with Q&As, meetings of and film screenings for the NFF business club. In addition, this year you will play an important role in the development and distribution of the NFF Festival beer Utrecht, which we want to expand in Utrecht for the first time this year.

Production
Starting month: possible immediately.
Size: 0.6 FTE ( 3 days per week ) in May; 0.8 FTE ( 4 days per week ) in June through August; 1 FTE ( Full Time ) in September; 0.8 FTE ( 4 days a week ) in October.
Duration: approximately 5 months ( until October 2023 ).

As an Intern ( e ) in this department you get a unique look into the kitchen of a large Production Department. The tasks you perform are very varied: from organizing the crew catering, making roadmaps, managing the greenhouse, to running your own projects that you can fully appropriate yourself.

During your internship you will work directly with the Producers in the department. This department transposes idea to implementation and directs the executive disciplines, such as technology, decoration, catering and a large group of enthusiastic volunteers.

Fee
You will receive an internship allowance of € 350 per month based on a full-time position. You will also receive compensation for any travel and accommodation costs to be incurred.

Period
