Founded in 1996, the Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art is now a renowned and internationally known project of KUNST-WERKE BERLIN. The upcoming 12th Berlin Biennale will take place from June 11 to September 18, 2022 and will be curated by Kader Attia.
The position offers the opportunity to get to know the individual work processes in the production and realization of an international exhibition and to gain experience in the field of contemporary art from an institutional perspective.
Tasks in this area include:
- Support in the coordination and organization of setting up and dismantling the 12th
Berlin Biennale at the various exhibition locations - Preparatory measures and support in the production of artistic
contributions - Support in the coordination and organization of the provision of the
infrastructure for the exhibition at the various exhibition and
event locations - Participation in the supervision of the current exhibition and its maintenance and
work processes - Assistance with international correspondence and general
office communication in the artistic office of the Berlin Biennale
Required knowledge and skills:
- Interest in the contemporary international art and culture scene
- Good computer skills
- Confident German and Confident English, both spoken and written
- Organizational talent, independence, responsible work, flexibility, resilience, good communication skills and ability to work in a team
- The internship is aimed at applicants who are still studying in the cultural field
The internship is remunerated with 300 € per month.
