Culture Ireland invites Expressions of Interest from professional artists, touring companies, and international presenters to participate in the EU Presidency Culture Programme 2026, marking Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union during the second half of 2026.
The programme will present a curated, high-quality selection of contemporary Irish arts and culture across Europe, aiming to showcase the diversity, innovation, and international relevance of Ireland’s creative sector. A wide range of artistic disciplines will be represented in leading venues, institutions, and festivals. Proposals involving multi-location or touring projects are particularly encouraged.
What the Programme Supports
Culture Ireland will provide grant funding to support costs directly related to the international presentation of selected projects, including:
- Travel
- Transport of work
- Accommodation
- Subsistence
Who Can Apply
- Professional artists and companies from across the island of Ireland
- International presenters collaborating with Irish artists or companies

Application Requirements
Applications should include:
- A statement outlining how the proposal showcases Irish creativity and/or reflects Ireland’s contemporary cultural strengths in the context of the EU Presidency.
- Details of the proposed concept or activity.
- Description of the media and presentation format.
- Practical delivery plan.
- List of proposed participants.
- Budget details, including the funding amount requested from Culture Ireland.
Please include “EU Presidency Culture Programme 2026” in the title of your application.
