The LA Arts Community Fire Relief Fund, led by the J. Paul Getty Trust with support from major arts organizations and philanthropists, aims to support Los Angeles County’s artists and arts workers impacted by the Palisades and Eaton fires starting on January 7, 2025. This fund addresses the financial hardship caused by the fires, providing unrestricted funds of up to $10,000 per applicant. As a federally qualified disaster under the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act, the funds are not counted as taxable income.

The Center for Cultural Innovation (CCI), a 501(c)(3) public charity, is administering this fund.


Eligibility

To qualify for funding, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a current, full-time resident of Los Angeles County as of January 7, 2025.
  • Be 18 years or older.
  • Be affected by the Eaton or Palisades fires, with damage to or lack of access to their home, artmaking studio, or both.
  • Be an individual working artist or a full-time, part-time, or contract arts worker at an LA County arts organization.
  • Submit a complete application.
  • Only apply once.
  • Not have a conflict of interest with CCI board members, staff, or agents.
