Overview

The Learning and Engagement Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting and facilitating the Department of Learning and Engagement’s administrative and logistical needs. This role also includes the production of museum public programs and educational initiatives.

Administration

  • Provide support with general operations, organization, and execution of programs and initiatives.
  • Coordinate meetings and manage calendars and email accounts.
  • Handle the composition, distribution, and collection of necessary materials for program production. Maintain archives and working files.
  • Assist in writing, editing, and managing content related to programs across various platforms.
  • Co-supervise interns and volunteers. Organize and manage program proposals, budgets, and data logs.

Program Coordination

  • Lead tours for diverse audiences, coordinate public programs, manage expenses, and support educational initiatives.
  • Engage in special projects, event management, volunteer training, and documentation of events.
  • Develop partnerships and conduct outreach to build relationships within the community.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant fields with at least two years of related work experience.
  • Experience in organizing events in a museum or contemporary arts setting.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and project management tools.
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends, and reliable transportation is a plus.
