Educational Program Development
- Lead the creation of interdisciplinary learning experiences and resources.
- Train and schedule docents to provide guided museum experiences.
- Design and lead tours for school and adult groups.
- Develop lesson plans that integrate works from the permanent collection and temporary exhibitions into school curricula.
- Collaborate with artists to develop workshops and masterclasses.
- Support and coordinate the Creative Careers Days (CCD) event and microsite schedule.
Programme Execution and Management
- Build networks with schools to encourage young people’s participation in programs.
- Design and implement learning experiences for high-attendance events like Ramadan Nights and Down to Earth.
- Oversee the entire program lifecycle, from planning to execution, working with facilitators, freelancers, and partners.
- Assess and improve on-site education programs in collaboration with other Jameel Arts Centre teams.
Event Coordination and Delivery
- Target audiences ranging from primary school students to post-graduate adults through workshops and learning programs.
- Host bi-monthly workshops for families, children, juniors, and teens.
- Implement artist-led children’s seasonal camps for ages 6-12.
- Develop and introduce After School Club gatherings for teens.
- Lead all learning programs for large events such as Creative Careers Days, Ramadan Nights, and Down to Earth.
Training and Development
- Train and schedule team members, freelancers, and volunteers for tours, events, and workshops.
- Create scripts and guided museum experiences for visiting school and adult groups.
- Deliver tours for school and university groups.
- Oversee special events and bi-monthly workshops.
Internal Management and Administrative Duties
- Coordinate large-scale events, liaising with facilitators and handling administrative tasks.
- Conduct relevant research for projects.
- Evaluate, expand, and develop on-site education programs.
- Manage budgets for specific projects.
- Create internal and external reports and presentations.
- Assist with off-site educational programming and outreach.
- Develop innovative learning resources for teachers and children.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience in similar roles at a museum, educational, or creative institution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and manage projects with a professional attitude.
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Independent thinking with a collaborative spirit.
- Attention to detail and awareness of broader implications.
Conditions of Work
- Full-time position based in Dubai, UAE.
- Occasional weekend and evening work required.
