DESCRIPTION OF FONDAZIONE PRADA:
Fondazione Prada is a cultural institution created in 1993 by Miuccia Prada and Patrizio Bertelli that operates in the belief that art and study are useful and necessary for an understanding of the changes that occur in the world. Fondazione Prada dialogs with an international and multi-faceted audience through a comprehensive series of partnerships with artists, curators, scientists, scholars, filmmakers, architects, musicians, and intellectuals in an articulated schedule of programs currently hosted in the three venues in Milan and Venice, opened between 2011 and 2016, as well as, since 2018, in other spaces in Shanghai, Tokyo, and New York.
POSITION:
The Learning & Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for elaborating and supervising educational strategies and mediation activities relating to projects based in the foundation’s various spaces, taking an inclusive approach to the various publics.
TASKS:
- Establish an innovative program of direct mediation, identifying different formats for specific target audiences
- Participation in in-depth activities in dialog with the Research department, and share materials within the Marketing & Communication department
- Supervision of indirect mediation and interpretation activities
- Formulate and oversee a program to develop educational tools and resources for the benefit of schools and teachers
- Formulate and oversee a program of activities directed at a younger public, either as individuals or in a family context, for purposes of informal learning
- Formulate and oversee a program that aims to welcome and include individuals with specific needs
- Formulate and coordinate ongoing training activities for internal mediation teams and welcome and supervision activities for external teams
- Supervise direct mediation activities and workshops run by the mediation team
- Monitor and assess the impact of the above activities
- Optimize the methodologies used to run the activities in the Visitor Experience & Engagement area, and implement procedures to improve efficiency and the relationship with the public.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 3 years experience in a similar role, with demonstrable experience of the development of educational and mediation programs
- A degree in Museum Mediation, Art History, Art-Related Education, or a similar subject
- Knowledge of the practices used in cultural mediation and educational and inclusion methodologies
- A commitment to the principles of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
- Solid practical knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing work patterns and situations
- Outstanding relational skills and a sound aptitude for team working
- Attention to detail, excellence in skills of analysis and written and oral presentations
- Excellence in both Italian and English; a third language will also be welcome
- Professional experience outside of Italy will be looked upon favorably
