Are you an academic with proven abilities to carry out teaching and research in the field of feminist studies in art history, photographic history, postcolonial, critical curatorial studies or visual culture? Do you have a research strength in the area of and at the intersection of feminist, social-historical, postcolonial queer cultural theory? Are you passionate about delivering an exceptional student experience in a research-intensive Russell Group University?
In this role you will carry out research and teaching in varying aspects of feminist studies in art history, photographic history, postcolonial critical curatorial studies or visual culture at the intersection of feminist, social-historical, postcolonial, queer cultural theories. You will be developing a strong track record in high quality research outputs and in attracting funding to support your developing research agenda. You will also be expected to undertake the normal range of duties that arises in connection with the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate modules, including lecturing, seminar delivery, dissertation supervision and assessment. It will be expected that you will initially lead on the popular level 2 module ‘Bodies of Difference: Gender, Power and the Visual Arts’.
With relevant research and teaching experience and a PhD, you will have the ability to make an outstanding contribution to the dynamic research life of the School and you will be passionate about delivering an exceptional student experience.
