The German Association of Artists based in Berlin is looking for a managing director
We are looking for a person who will be responsible for the wide range of activities of an administrative and representative management of the office of the German Artists’ Association. The management builds on close cooperation with the board of directors.
Your area of responsibility:
• Member support and preparation and follow-up of board meetings and general meetings
• Acquisition of project funds and preparation of economic and financing plans, the annual financial statements as well as budget planning and control
• Implementation of the concepts and projects of the German Artists’
Association • Coordination and supervision of events in the project room of the Deutscher Künstlerbund and elsewhere
• Conception and organization of press and public relations work, preparation of documentation, publications, writing of editorial contributions and maintenance of the website and the archive
• Continuous further development of partnerships and institutional cooperation in the field of cultural policy, processing of cultural policy issues, coordination of cultural policy committee work, writing statements and open letters

Your qualifications and expertise:
• Completed university degree in cultural management or comparable qualification
• Several years of work experience in cultural management or in the administrative management of a cultural organization
• Sovereignty in dealing with public funds economically
• Knowledge of contemporary fine arts and in the field of current cultural-political work
• Confident handling of digital media and very good software -Knowledge (Microsoft Office: in particular Excel, Adobe Creative Suite, experience with content management systems and database systems)
• excellent knowledge of English

The office is in Berlin-Kreuzberg, in an exciting area between the Jewish Museum and Checkpoint Charlie.
