It serves as an experimental learning hub, fostering collective knowledge, new works, and structures for care and repair. Dar Jacir encourages a participatory approach, inviting artists and participants to engage with both international and local figures in arts and culture.
Position Summary
Dar Jacir seeks a driven individual passionate about arts and culture to contribute to Bethlehem’s growth. The Managing Director will steer the organization, supported by the Board and Founding Director. This role involves overseeing daily operations, implementing annual plans, maintaining financial health, and ensuring organizational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Program Management & Reporting
- Develop and execute annual action plans in collaboration with the team.
- Monitor program implementation and adherence to schedules.
- Manage event logistics and coordinate team communications.
- Generate semi-annual and annual reports.
Financial Management
- Draft budget plans with the team and manage financial oversight.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and budget tracking.
- Handle financial documentation and support audit processes.
Administration
- Draft contracts and oversee payroll in compliance with policies.
- Manage the team, ensuring efficient office operations.
- Supervise procurement and maintain inventory.
Development & Outreach
- Strengthen partnerships and expand the network.
- Facilitate community engagement and represent Dar Jacir at events.
Media & Communications
- Lead communication strategies and manage digital content.
- Maintain media relations and ensure program visibility.
General Duties
- Uphold positive relations with partners and the community.
- Offer support to the Board, staff, and participants.
- Address urgent needs and emergencies, occasionally working beyond standard hours.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Arabic and English is mandatory. Spanish or Italian is a plus.
- Availability for a full-time role, with flexibility for evening and weekend work.
