OVERVIEW
The Media Arts Cultures master program answers the needs of the evolving fields related to the future and heritage of Media Arts Cultures. Our global digital world is filled with new media culture that encompasses the big questions of today such as the processes of globalisation, utopias of neuroscience, political repression, big data, and the growing world-wide surveillance. Thus, the analysis of media arts cultures is socially and culturally enlightening. The examination of evolving media art forms offers technological insights, which are vital to the next generation of software and hardware engineers, as well as to cultural practitioners. Media Arts have great potential for critical reflection and future innovation.
This course prepares you for working in the creative and cultural sector and other fields associated with Media Arts Cultures.
Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree
Media Arts Cultures is an Erasmus Mundus joint master degree developed by a consortium of four universities. This two-year master’s course with 120 ECTS workload (four semesters) awards a joint degree (Master of Arts in Media Arts Cultures).
The MediaAC Consortium of four universities and influential global associated partners from the creative and cultural sector dedicate to grow a new generation of professionals based on the future needs of the field and grounded in rigorous academic training.
Erasmus+ Scholarships
The European Union granted MediaAC a significant number of scholarships available for incoming students to the Media Arts Cultures Master of Arts program. These scholarships are available to all prospective students, regardless of nationality, and will be highly competitive. Only applicants who have submitted all the required documents will be eligible for consideration. The following amounts will be awarded (see website for lists of Programme and Partner Countries):
Programme Countries scholarship grantees receive all participation fees paid, 1000 EUR per month stipend for the duration of the 24 month masters program and 1.000 EUR per year per scholarship holder for travel costs.
Partner Countries scholarship grantees receive all participation fees paid, 1000 EUR per month stipend for the duration of the 24 month masters program and between 1000 and 5000 EUR for travel, depending on the distance of the home country to the MediaAC coordinating university.
