Museum Fellowship Programme

Introduction

The Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA) and the University of the Western Cape (UWC) invite applications for a year-long Museum Fellowship Programme. This initiative educates the next generation of art and museum professionals in Africa. The programme, now in its second year, aims to enhance curatorial practices and advance contemporary art scholarship.

Programme Overview

The Fellowship focuses on increasing knowledge in curatorial practice, arts administration, and heritage management. It combines practical museum work guided by Zeitz MOCAA’s senior staff with academic study in contemporary art at UWC’s renowned faculty of humanities.

Zeitz MOCAA serves as a dynamic civic space, fostering public dialogue and understanding through exhibitions, research, and collection. UWC, known for its commitment to quality education and research, provides a solid academic foundation for the fellows.
