We are looking for the Chemnitz city administration as of January 1st, 2023 for the Chemnitz Art Collections part-time with 29 hours per week for an unlimited period of time:
Responsible for Museum Educational Programme (M/F/D)
YOUR TASK:
You are largely responsible for the conception and implementation of museum communication and educational work. Your tasks will also include:
– You will be responsible for the creation, practical implementation and quality assurance of museum educational and mediation offers for the permanent and special exhibitions for various visitor groups for all museums of the art collections, including school programs, holiday courses, art courses and inclusive offers.
– You will develop need-group-oriented didactic materials of all kinds and support the development, further development and evaluation of digital offers such as apps and audiovisual media as well as participatory offers and events such as workshops.
– You work together with schools, after-school care centers and day-care centers, including within the framework of “Konrad der Kunstbus” and leisure facilities.
– You support the management of the education department in the conception and implementation of special events such as museum festivals and outreach projects.
– You create texts to advertise mediation offers via a variety of media and support you in scheduling tours and offers for various need groups.
– You plan and coordinate the cooperation with the independent art mediators.
WHAT YOU BRING WITH YOU:
– University degree in the field of art history, art education, museology or museum sciences with a focus on art education, art education or a comparable course in the field of art and cultural studies
– Experience and sound knowledge of museum education work and needs group work are an advantage Art history, art pedagogy, history and the current scientific specialist discourses in the field of education and mediation
– Knowledge of the relevant school curricula and educational content for all school types
– Strong prior knowledge in the field of digital media as well as technology and digital affinity
– Diversity and inclusion skills as well as the ability to work in a team
– Strong communication skills and a very good feeling for languages
- High level of organizational talent, conceptual and planning skills and secure negotiating skills
– Very good knowledge of German and English (spoken and written), another foreign language is desirable
– Above-average commitment and resilience , willingness to work when needed, even outside of regular working hours
