Overview:
The NOLA/NYC Research Fellowship offers Greek visual artists and curators an immersive two-city residency experience. Hosted by ARCAthens, Fellows will explore and engage with the vibrant cultural landscapes of New Orleans and New York City. The program aims to foster international dialogue and community engagement, providing opportunities for professional development, cultural exchange, and access to dynamic art scenes.
Residency Highlights:
- New Orleans Base: Camp Abundance, connecting Fellows with the city’s diverse artistic community.
- New York City Base: Live-work accommodations with a focus on engaging the Bronx art community and exploring the five boroughs.
Fellowship Details:
- Prize & Stipend: $2,000 fellowship prize plus $250 weekly stipend for food and local transportation.
- Travel: Roundtrip airfare covered by ARCAthens.
- Duration: Two months of residency split between New Orleans and New York City.
- Expectations: Participation in public presentations, educational seminars, and on-site residency activities.
Eligibility:
Open to applicants currently based in Greece. Fellows must be present for the entire residency and are responsible for food, local travel beyond the stipend, and visa procurement if required.
