Exhibition period: Approximately five weeks between March and December 2027

Number selected: Approximately two individual curators or curatorial teams
Exhibition space: Approximately 187 m²
d/p is inviting independent curators and curatorial teams to propose an exhibition project for its 2027 programme in Seoul.
Sponsored by NakwonSangga, the opportunity provides selected applicants with a curatorial grant, access to d/p’s exhibition space and curatorial collaboration with the d/p team. The programme has supported two to three curators annually since 2018.
Eligibility
The open call is available to individual curators and curatorial teams with at least one curatorial experience completed within the past three years.
Applying curators cannot participate in the proposed exhibition as artists. The roles of curator and participating artist must be clearly distinguished.
Support
Selected curators or teams will receive:
- A curatorial grant of KRW 4,000,000, including tax
- Use of d/p’s approximately 187 m² exhibition space
- Curatorial collaboration with the d/p team
- An exhibition period of approximately five weeks
Installation and deinstallation periods are separate from the five-week public exhibition period.
Exhibition Schedule
Applicants should indicate their preferred exhibition period:
- March–May 2027
- May–July 2027
- July–September 2027
- November–December 2027
Final exhibition dates will be agreed with d/p following selection.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit an application form and an exhibition proposal covering:
- Curatorial background, goals and statement of practice
- Exhibition title and preferred schedule
- Participating artists
- Proposed budget, including the KRW 4,000,000 d/p grant
- Curatorial concept and exhibition synopsis
- Exhibition layout plan
- Participating artworks
- Exhibition-related programmes
- Exhibition timeline and implementation plan
The curatorial statement should not exceed 3,000 words. Additional pages and images may be included. Video materials should be submitted as links.
Selection Process
Applications will be assessed in two stages:
- Review of the application form and exhibition proposal
- Individual interviews with shortlisted applicants
Interviews will generally take place in person. Applicants based abroad or facing exceptional circumstances may be interviewed online.
