Funding: £1,000–£10,000 for exhibition projects; £1,000 for curatorial research trips

Eligibility: Arts organisations and independent or institutionally affiliated curators meeting the relevant eligibility criteria
Application deadline: 24 November 2026, midnight

Fluxus Art Projects invites applications for its funding programme supporting exhibition projects and curatorial research trips that promote contemporary French art in the UK and contemporary British art in France.

The programme aims to strengthen artistic exchange between the two countries, supporting exhibitions, research and professional development in contemporary visual arts. Fluxus Art Projects particularly prioritises innovative artistic practices and the production of new works.

Exhibition Projects

Fluxus Art Projects supports exhibitions featuring living French or France-based artists in the UK and British or UK-based artists in France.

Applications must be submitted by the organising institution or association rather than individual artists. Eligible organisations include nonprofit art centres, museums, cultural institutions, research centres, online projects and artists’ publications.

Grants range from £1,000 to £10,000, covering between 5% and 50% of the project’s total budget.

Eligible expenses include artistic production, fees, transportation, travel, accommodation, communications and publications.

Curatorial Research Trips

The programme also supports curatorial research trips that encourage professional exchange between France and the UK.

Applicants must:

  • Be French or have been based in France for at least five years, or be British or have been based in the UK for at least five years.
  • Have at least three years of professional experience or demonstrate significant curatorial practice within an arts organisation or as an independent curator.
  • Obtain authorisation from their institution if applying as an institutionally affiliated curator.

Each selected curator will receive a £1,000 grant to support their research trip.

Selection Priorities

Fluxus Art Projects welcomes proposals across the visual arts, broadly defined, and particularly encourages projects demonstrating innovative approaches and supporting the production of new artistic work.

The programme operates through two annual funding rounds, supporting projects taking place between January and June, and between July and December.

Application deadline: 24 November 2026, midnight.
