Program Overview
MCH seeks hosts for Local Gatherings as part of the 2024 Meeting Point. This initiative aims to extend the Meeting Point community and provide micro-grants to practitioners for organizing events in their local areas.
Local Gathering Activities
A Local Gathering involves events like talks, workshops, seminars, or creative actions. These events foster connections and interactions centered around the 2024 Meeting Point theme, “Perspectives from the Grassroots.” Activities can range from half-day sessions to 2-3 day events, catering to diverse group sizes and engagement formats.
Building Collective Energy
Through a network of simultaneous local gatherings, MCH aims to cultivate shared momentum, channeling energy into the Meeting Point and fostering a sense of unity and collaboration among communities.

Key Information
- Opportunity: Be part of a community hosting a local gathering for Meeting Point 2024. Participate in the in-person Hanoi program from March 21st – 23rd, 2024.
- Target Audience: Grassroots event organizers and producers from Asia looking to connect with a regional community of practice.
- Total Participants: 10-12 hosts (individuals, partnerships, collectives, or organizations)
- Structure & Timeline:
- Exchange workshops for Local Gathering Hosts (2 hours per month online between November 2023 and February 2024, with a full-day in-person session in Hanoi on March 20th, 2024)
- Organize a Local Gathering in your community (anytime between March 8th – March 16th, 2024)
- One representative from each Host team attends the in-person Meeting Point (March 21st – 23rd, 2024)
- Important Dates: Applicants must be available for all program dates, including virtual exchange sessions and in-person workshops.

- Support Offered:
- Grant ranging from $500 USD to $1,500 USD for hosting your gathering
- Coverage of costs for one representative per Gathering to attend the Meeting Point in Hanoi
