Open call – INTERNATIONAL curator residencies PROGRAMME 2023
Deadline: 17:00 pm Monday 5 December 2022
Located in Dublin’s northeast city centre, Fire Station Artists’ Studios was established in 1993 to support professional visual artists. It provides ten subsidised combined living and working studios for Irish and international artists as well as large scale sculpture workshop facilities for day hire. In addition, FSAS provides digital media facilities and equipment, a project/meeting room space, as well as training opportunities for artists, combining the practical with the conceptual. A key policy of Fire Station is to support socially engaged arts practice and critique through art commissions, talks and publications.
As part of its programme, international curators visit and stay in FSAS, developing connections with FSAS artists, with institutions and key people in Dublin and across Ireland. With its established reputation and active staff, FSAS supports visiting curators to connect and further their projects and networks. Through this programme, Fire Station promotes and supports the creation of international opportunities for Irish artists.
Residencies are not programmed to begin before mid-February 2023.
APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED
FSAS invites international curators, working either independently or with institutions, to apply for residencies, to take place through 2023 and will award 4 – 6 residencies.
